Tanya graduated from Victoria University, Wellington, in 2006 with an LLB and BCom majoring in Economics. She has specialised in family law since 2009 and was trained in Melbourne, Australia, by one of the leading family law firms before joining boutique firm TML Family Law as Partner and Principal.
Tanya’s practice focuses on both parenting and property matters – and the spectrum of issues in-between. This includes, but is not limited to, spend-time arrangements, relocations, family violence, property settlements, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial property contract agreements, intergenerational wealth transfer and settlements.
Tanya has extensive experience in all avenues of dispute resolution, including lawyer-to-lawyer negotiation, mediation, roundtable conferences, litigation and collaborative law. She has experience in both interim and final hearings within litigation, having run matters in both the Family Court and the Court of Appeal.
Tanya was Vice President of the Victorian Association of Collaborative Lawyers and is passionate about swift resolution of conflict. She aims to bring a collaborative practice to Lane Neave’s Family Law practice.
